Analyzer Firmware Upgrade Options
Please contact API sales at sales@advpol.com to request information on upgrade options, pricing and availability for your firmware. The two basic upgrade options are as follows:
- Upgrade PROM chip only. If the CPU board of your instrument is Revision F or higher, it will accept 512 kb PROM chips and may be upgradeable to the latest version of firmware. Some minor configuration (jumper) changes are required to accommodate the new PROM.
- Upgrade CPU board. If the CPU board of your instrument is Revision E or lower, you may be able to upgrade the entire CPU board.
To find the revision of your CPU board, please open your analyzer (refer to the user manual on how to do this) and look - from behind - at the top right corner of the daughter-board that is mounted to the board, which is closest to the front panel (CPU board). The board should carry printing with the revision number, such as "Rev. F", close to the red, blinking LED.
