Sample scripts for analyzers and calibrators

Following are sample scripts that can be downloaded and used for the stated purpose, or simply to get started on making your own. We encourage you to utilize the built-in data acquisition system (DAS) of API analyzers for better data analysis, detailed engineering and easier trouble-shooting.

Please refer to section "DAS Configuration and Data Access" in the APIcom user manual on how to download, edit, modify and upload these scripts to your analyzer.

These scripts are provided for the convenience of our customers. We cannot take any responsibility for misconfiguration or any problems, damage or data loss arising from or associated with the use of these scripts. We suggest to download and back up your existing scripts before attempting any alteration.

M700 sequence to check out an M900 API system
This sequence was written to be used with an ESC 8816 Data logger. It would work with virtually any data logger if the interconnections were correct and the data logger is capable of a bit output (most are).

Note that this series of sequences has no duration to any of the gas dilution requests. This will be handled by the data logger.

Note also that this series uses a trick. For proper operation of the system, the M700 should be place in standby at the end of each operation. This is done by dropping all requests at the end of an operation (normal operation for the 8816 and most other data loggers). This causes CONTROL IN to the M700 to be all zeroes. By assigning a control input of "00000000000" to the standby sequence, it will occur between every active span and zero request from the 8816.

Contributed by Diana Conti. These programmed sequences are used to run automated zero / level 1 (span) validation points every 2 to 3 days, quality control checks every 14 days, and calibrations quarterly or when necessary.

There are also 'manual' sequences programmed for CO and other parameters when the zero/span solenoid remote activation is not wanted values are checked through the sampling train.

Please submit your own custom configuration and share it with other users. You can attach a text file or simply include the code lines in your email body. Please enclose a brief description of the application, model number and how to use it, if applicable.
